Bruce A. Pflasterer's Obituary
Bruce A. Pflasterer, age 56, of Sparta, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11:29 a.m. in Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. Bruce was born on March 24, 1961 in Sparta, IL, a son to Howard Price and Geneview Pflasterer. On April 12, 1986, he married Alicia "Sue" York in the First Baptist Church, Tilden, IL and she survives. Bruce was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a chef and kitchen manager at South Side Ribs and attended the First Baptist Church in Tilden, IL. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, dogs, camping, drawing when he was younger, Harley Davidson motorcycles, avid outdoorsman, ATV's and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Alicia "Sue" Pflasterer of Sparta, IL; three sons, Tom Pflasterer (Fiance' Eve Deutschmann) of Sparta, IL, Gabe Taylor of Sparta, IL and Brad (Dakota) Baranowski of Chester, IL; one daughter, Shauna Pflasterer (Richard Odom) of Ellis Grove, IL; two brothers, Russell (Wendy) Roloss and Paul (Jackie) DeSpain; four sisters, Victoria Pflasterer, Shirley (Curtis) Forcum, Beverly (Ed) Quathamer and Carolyn Smith; four grandchildren, Mark, Kaylynn, Ada and Oran; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Joyce Prest; and two brothers, James and Michael Pflasterer. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Tilden, IL on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Paul Hahn officiating. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice or the family of Bruce Pflasterer. Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL is in charge of arrangements.
