Bruce Gene Dunihoo's Obituary
Bruce Gene Dunihoo, age 64, of rural Coulterville, IL, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 5:25 p.m. in St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. With his family by his side.
Bruce was born on November 21, 1959 in Geneseo, IL, a son to Eugene Howard and Verna Lee (Lipe) Dunihoo. On July 29, 1978, he married Lisa Jane Lykins in Pinckneyville, IL and she survives. He had worked as a plumber and owned and operated D&D Plumbing. Bruce was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges in Pinckneyville, IL and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, mowing grass, cutting wood, and demolition derbies.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 46 years, Lisa Dunihoo of rural Coulterville, IL; four children, Brooklyn Dunihoo (Lisa Pauley) of St. Louis, MO, Macy Dunihoo of Sparta, IL, Jarid Dunihoo of Pinckneyville, IL, and Grady (Kiera) Dunihoo of Tamaroa, IL; one brother, Frank (Melba) Dunihoo of Rice, IL; one sister, Pam (Rick) Presswood of Pinckneyville, IL; and four grandchildren, Aiden Dunihoo, Khloe Dunihoo, Jackson Pauley, and Kinsley Dunihoo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert "Riley" Dunihoo; and a sister, Debra Margenthaler.
The family will host a celebration of life at the Eagle's Annex, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
