Bonnie Mae Davis' Obituary
Bonnie Mae Davis, age 94, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 2:15 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL. Bonnie was born on September 2, 1920, in DuQuoin, IL, a daughter to John Lyle and Flora Alean (Wilkerson) Fisher. On June 30, 1937, she married James A. Davis in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1979. Bonnie was a member of Roe's Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She loved shopping, sewing, making quilts, cooking, crocheting, bird watching, flower gardening and spending time with her family. Survivors include one son, James Dean (Carol) Davis of Ashley, IL; four daughters, Jean (Allan) Brown of DuQuoin, IL, Sharon (William) Wilson of Sparta, IL, Susan Bostian of Katy, TX and Patricia (Jerry) Kelly of Pinckneyville, IL; fifteen Grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Stephen, David and Jim Brown, Bob and Jim Wilson, Dana Libby, Jim Davis, Heather Bostian, Allison Edwards, John Bostian, JP Kelly, Carrie Boester, and Amanda Smith; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Lyle Fisher and Flora Alean Wilkerson Fisher Bird; husband, James A. Davis; infant son, Jimmie Lyle Davis; sister, Kate Fisher-Newborn; three brothers, Lyle Dean Fisher, Melvin Bird and Jack Bird; son-in-law, Michael Bostian; and grandson, Robbie Kelly. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend David Brown officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
