Bobby Hepp's Obituary
Bobby Hepp, age 79, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL.
Bobby was born on November 17, 1945, in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Robert W. and Ruby D. (Kimmel) Hepp. Bobby proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. He was a member at the DuQuoin American Legion and V.F.W. Post #513. Bobby is a retired UMWA coal miner and a retired I.U.O.E. operator. He married Karon Hagel and from that union two sons were born. Later in life he married Donna Butler. Bobby was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and attended Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Bobby was a honorable mention high school All-State athlete in 1962 for basketball and went on to later play at Murray State University. He was an avid fan of college and professional football. Bobby loved watching Illini Basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals. He started the Pinckneyville Khoury League Baseball in 1975, and was a member of Keene Road Builders and the Celtic Softball teams from 1974-1984. Bobby truly loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his son, Robert Cory (Kim) Hepp of Pinckneyville, IL; and two grandchildren, Cameron Hepp and Lexi Hepp, both of Pinckneyville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, William Caby Hepp.
Funeral services will be held at Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Brother Mark Lee officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be held at Beaucoup Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
