Bob Cassady's Obituary
Charles Robert "Bob" Cassady, age 67, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Wednesday August 10, 2016 at 8:34 p.m. in his home. Bob was born on January 14, 1949 in East St. Louis, IL, a son to Robert Emmett and Edith (Maloney) Cassady. On June 4, 1972, he married LaDonna Frazier in Jefferson City, MO and she preceded him in death on November 24, 2012. He was a plumber for Akima for over 27 years and attended Faith Trinity Tabernacle Church, Smithton, IL. Bob was a member of the Sparta V.F.W. , Steelville American Legion, past Post Commander of the Coulterville V.F.W. and he enjoyed fishing, music, sitting on his front porch, spending time with his friends and family and especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Amie (James) Vollert of Coulterville, IL, and Lori Frazier of Coulterville, IL; step daughter, Angel Jacobs of Collinsville, IL; adopted daughter, Melinda (Randy) Welten of Sparta, IL; half-brother, David (Debbie) Thomas of Smithton, IL; three grandchildren, Charles Frazier, Cassidy Terry, Robert Emmett Cassady; two great-grandchildren, Dayton Terry and Realynn Klingeman. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Frank L. Thomas; wife; and sister Jeannie Vandillen. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St Louis, MO at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Seger officiating. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery office before 10:00 a.m. and then we will be escorted to the cemetery roadside chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made to the family. Pyatt Funeral Home Coulterville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
