Birdie Robison's Obituary
Birdie Robison, age 71, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 7:55 a.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital Emergency Room, DuQuoin, IL. Birdie was born on September 27, 1942 in DuQuoin, IL, a daughter to Earl and Leola (Harris) Simmons. She married Jimmy T. Robison in Kankakee, IL. Birdie loved spending time and taking care of her family, bicycle riding, watching and listening to Jimmy Swaggart, and cooking, especially her bread pudding. Survivors include six children, Jimmy Robison of DuQuoin, IL; Lisa Robison of DuQuoin, IL; Beverly Cain of DuQuoin, IL; Leola (Jerry) Gooden of Carterville, IL; Susan Robison of Carbondale, IL; and Ronica Henderson of Wentzville, MO; five brothers, Kenneth Simmons, Leamon Simmons, Billy Simmons, Robert (Julia) Simmons and Herman Simmons all of DuQuoin, IL; one sister, Irene Dunklin of DuQuoin, IL; nine grandchildren, Christian, Iesha, Markel, Bernard, Tyrell, Ebany, Travis, Jessica and Shawn; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Eugene Henderson; three brothers, Carl Simmons, George Simmons, Earl Simmons Jr.; three sisters, Loretta Simmons, Mary Jones and Rev. Bessie Lee Bledsoe; 2 grandchildren, Sanchez Robison and Shydia Robison. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home in DuQuoin, IL on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. with Apostle Tim Brinson and Dexter Dunklin officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home in DuQuoin, IL on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the family of Birdie Robison
