Billy C. Douglas' Obituary
Billy C. Douglas, age 79, of Sparta, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 10:00 p.m. in Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, IL. Billy was born on October 18, 1929 in Dallas, TX, a son to Arthur and Bessie (Malone) Douglas. On May 26, 1961, he married Mary Alton and she preceded him in death on December 6, 2002, and then on June 12, 2003, he married Bonnie Morgan in Waterloo, IL and she survives. Billy was of the protestant faith, he owned and operated a motorcycle shop for many years. He was a member of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America, Cushman Scooter Club and Sparta Senior Center. Billy loved playing the mandolin, restoring and riding antique motorcycles and spending time with his wife and family. Billy is survived by his wife, one step-son: Ronald (Pat) Prohaska of Kissimmee, FL, one daughter: Keppi Stephens of Alton, IL, two grandchildren: Aaron Prohaska and Dustin Stephens and three great- grandchildren: Ellie and Alec Prohaska and Cheyenne Stephens. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Brother Tim McIntyre officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to Sparta Senior Center, Sparta, IL or the American Cancer Society
