Billie Millikin's Obituary
Billie Millikin, age 78, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 6:20 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL. Billie was born on September 2, 1934 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to William John and Thelma Lavaughn (Hagler) Millikin. He was of the Baptist faith and was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Billie worked at U.S. Gypsum in the shipping department for many years and enjoyed showing dairy cattle. Survivors include by one brother, Norman "Buck" (Vicki) Millikin of Bozeman, MT; three sisters, Ruth Ann (Charles) Furlow of Tamaroa, IL, Rosalie (Ronald) Kringer of Pinckneyville, IL and Halene (John) Overley of Kalamazoo, MI; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Millikin of Granite City, IL, Carrie Millikin of Pinckneyville, IL and Carol Millikin of DuQuoin, IL; his special friend he showed dairy cattle with, Leroy Alwardt of Altamont, IL; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Eugene "Sport" Millikin ; Frank Millikin; Don Millikin and Carl Millikin Funeral services will be held at Holts Prairie Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Ivan Plemmons officiating. Interment will be Holts Prairie Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Military rites by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504. Friends may call at Holts Prairie Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Billie Millikin family. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
