Bill Phillips' Obituary
Bill Phillips, age 54, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 6:33 p.m. in his home surrounded by his family. Bill was born on December 15, 1962 in St. Louis, MO, a son to Charles L. and Pauline H. (Fontana) Phillips. He had most recently worked as a concrete driver at Beelman, Pinckneyville, IL and worked previously at Jim's Repair "T-Bones", Nashville, IL; K&H Auto, DuQuoin, IL; Kelly's Sawmill, Pinckneyville, IL; and as the owner/operator of Phillips Stump Removal. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Pinckneyville, IL; Knights of Columbus, Pinckneyville, IL, Moose Lodge, Pinckneyville, IL; Teamsters Union; and member and past president of the Perry County Sportsman Club, Pinckneyville, IL. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and barbequing but his favorite pastime was being a prankster. Survivors include his special friend, Sue Setzekorn of Nashville, IL and her son, Luke Setzekorn; a brother, David (Allison) Phillips of Pinckneyville, IL; a sister, Barbara Wessel of Hoffman, IL; one niece and three nephews, Nicole (Chris) Wisby, Andrew Wessel (fiancé, Jannel Wood); Abram (Jessica) Phillips and Christopher Phillips; three great nieces, Addison and Lily Wisby and Olivia Phillips; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John C. Phillips. A memorial service will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. with Father Bernard Goedde officiating. Interment will be at a later date in St. Bruno Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bruno School or Celtic Hospice.
