Beulah Schaffer's Obituary
Beulah Schaffer, age 98, of Centralia, IL, formerly of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Beulah was born on October 4, 1923 in Oakdale, IL, a daughter to Paul and Caroline (Voss) Brammeier. On April 29, 1943, she married John F. Schaffer in Alton, IL and he preceded her in death on January 4, 1971. She was a great cook that could cook anything and had worked as a cook at Coulterville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Coulterville, IL. Beulah was a lifelong member of the Coulterville V.F.W. Post #6865 Ladies Auxiliary. She was always helpful to anyone. Beulah dearly loved her family and had raised six generations.
Survivors include her son, Jack (Carolyn) Schaffer of Centralia, IL and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John F. Schaffer; a son, John Joseph Schaffer; a daughter, Pat Cook; and four sisters, Viola Averbeck, Hazel Brammeier, Doris Jones, and Erna Branson.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Carl Schrage officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville Cemetery, Coulterville, IL.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Coulterville V.F.W. Post #6865 Ladies Auxiliary.
