Betty J. Swain's Obituary
Betty J. Swain, age 70, of Pinckneyville, died on Monday, April 24, 2006 at 1:13 a.m. in St. Mary's Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Betty was born on October 17, 1935 in O'Fallon, IL, a daughter to William and Helen (Wolf) Koch. She was retired from Pinckneyville Community Hospital where she worked as a CNA. She enjoyed gardening, crafts and painting. Survivors include three sons: Marvin George of Pinckneyville, William Franklin George and wife Carollea of Kentucky, Charles George and wife Mellisa of Michigan, four daughters: Donna Queen and husband Brian of South Carolina, Sarah Von Eeckhoute and husband Michael of Kentucky, Sandy Dawdy and husband Ed of Florida, and Peggy Patterson and husband Jerry of Pinckneyville, six brothers: Harold Koch, Fred Koch, John Koch, Robert Koch, Tom Koch, Henry Koch, one sister: Mildred Morris, seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sons: Jesse George and Bobby George, one grandson: Charles George, and four brothers: Jim Cook, Roy Cook, William Cook, and Eddie Cook. Funeral services will be at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
