Betty Mae Morgan's Obituary
Betty Mae Morgan, age 77, of Coulterville, IL, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 7:10 a.m. at Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, IL. Betty Mae was born on August 14, 1930 in Vandalia, IL, a daughter to Logan and Cynthia Marie (Patterson) Lockart. On January 17, 1948, she married Charles H. Morgan in Fayette County, IL and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2003. Betty Mae was a homemaker, was of the Methodist faith, and attended Luster Chapel Church in Bluff City, IL. She loved to cook and care for her family. Survivors include her children: Charles W. (Mary) Morgan of New Haven, IL, Ivan L. (Renee) Morgan of Venedy, IL, James K. (Diane) Morgan of Taylorville, IL, Michael L. (Kim) of Coulterville, IL, Sharon K. (Jerry) Scott of Coulterville, IL, and Lenna M. Morgan of Coulterville, IL, one brother: James F. (Carole) Lockart of Beckemeyer, IL, three sisters: Clara Belle Crothers of Vandalia, IL, Norma Brookshiere of Taylorville, IL, and Darlene (LaVerne) Crawford of Anderson, IN, one sister-in-law: Edna Branham of Farmington, MO, sixteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. Betty Mae was preceded in death by her, parents, husband, one son: Charles H. Morgan Jr, one granddaughter: Buffy Ann Morgan and four brothers. Funeral services will be held at the Luster Chapel Church, Bluff City, IL on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marvin Gillam officiating. Interment will be in Old Loogootee Cemetery, Brownstown, IL. Friends may call at the Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL, on Sunday, December 16, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. On Monday, December 17, 2007 friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Luster Chapel Church in Bluff City, IL. Memorials may be given to Sweetbriar Retirement Home, Vandalia, IL.
