Betty Ann (Busby) Robinson's Obituary
Betty Ann (Busby) Robinson went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2023 at the age of 88.
Born April 26, 1935 in Sparta, IL to Johnny and Viola (Kohlhaas) Busby. She was united in marriage to David F. Robinson of Coulterville, IL on August 16, 1952 at the First United Methodist Church, Sparta, IL.
Betty had worked at Spartan Printing Company for 13 years, at Hardees, Sparta, IL as a biscuit maker for 8 years, at R&M Roofing as a secretary throughout the family business, and at Foster Ponds Industries, Valmeyer, IL. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Sparta, IL.
She loved the outdoors and her farm. She was an avid deer hunter and took several trophy bucks. Betty enjoyed gardening, fishing, Bingo, 4-wheeling with her son, David, hiking, and mushroom hunting. She will be missed by her family and friends and the staff at Randolph County Care Center, Sparta, IL.
She is survived by her daughter, Donita (Ron) Dobbelare of Belleville, IL; her son, David E. Robinson; a sister, Judy Bennett of Sparta, IL; four grandchildren, Amanda Presswood of DuQuoin, IL, Victoria Presswood of Belleville, IL, Ronald D. (Amanda) Dobbelare of Troy, IL, and Robert (Christy) Dobbelare of St. Louis, MO; eleven great-grandchildren, Teddy, D'Andre, Lucas, Caden, Silas, Jaiden, Cherish, Jesse, Nora, Grady, and Grayson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Frank Robinson; two brothers, Albert Busby and Junior Busby; and two sisters, Darlene Dierks and Roberta Jeffries.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. with Ron Mazander officiating. Interment will be in Caledonia Cemetery, Sparta, IL.
Visitation will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Memorial donation may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Sparta, IL.
