Berniece Shaw's Obituary
Berniece Shaw, age 97, of Pinckneyville, IL, formerly of Lewistown and Canton, IL passed away at 4:40 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2009 in Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, IL. Berniece was born on November 25, 1911 in Cuba, IL, a daughter to George W. and Hattie Mae (Barnes) Irwin. On July 8, 1933, she married Charles Sheldon Shaw and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1984. Berniece was a graduate of Canton High School and enjoyed taking care of her home and family. She is survived by three children: Jerry Dean (Addie) Shaw of Thornton, CO, Shirley Mae (Bud) Lalicker of Pinckneyville, IL and Keith Sheldon (Darlene) Shaw of Sebring, FL, ten grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband and two sisters: Hazel Marie Saunders and Mabel Louise Manwarren. Graveside services will be held on Monday January 12, 2009 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lewistown, IL at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the donor's choice Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of arrangements.
