Anthony Marion Spiller Sr.'s Obituary
Anthony Marion Spiller, Sr., age 63, of DuQuoin, IL passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in his home.
Anthony was born on November 1, 1961, in St. Louis, MO, a son to David Felix and Frances Willie (Lanum) Spiller, Sr. Anthony married Jama Pineda, the mother of his children. He worked as a quality control inspector for General Tire and was an over-the-road truck driver. Anthony was a huge sports fan he especially loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, Mizzou Tigers, L.A. Lakers, Arizona Cardinals and the DuQuoin Indians. Anthony enjoyed spending time with his family, especially being a grandpa. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his two sons, Anthony Marion Spiller, Jr., of DuQuoin, IL and Cameron Jordan Spiller of Sunfield, IL; one brother, David Felix (Barbara Tina) Spiller Jr. of DuQuoin, IL; two sisters, Antoinette “Annie” Spiller of DuQuoin, IL and Davene Reynolds of St. Louis, MO; one granddaughter, Maleah Lynn Spiller; three granddogs, Moneybag, Zeus, and Cinco; several nieces and nephews, Ty-Tanisha Koroma, Yashika Wright, Terrence Spiller, J.R. Cain, Shelsea Irving, Bilal Spiller, Lela Spiller-Copeland, Tiffany Reynolds, Andre McBride, Raymond Jones, Delisha Jones, and Bryan Jones; many great nieces and nephews; and many other friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Michelle Carolyn Spiller; and one brother Houston “Boo” Spiller.
A visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL, on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
