Anthony J. Hagene's Obituary
Anthony J. Hagene, age 30, of Steeleville, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 7:50 a.m. as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Tamaroa, IL. Anthony was born on November 13, 1986 in Chester, IL, a son to Tom Hagene Jr. and Diane (Braun) Langwith. He married Amber Montine and she survives. He was a veteran in the United States Air Force obtaining the rank of senior airman. After serving in the military, he worked as an electrician. Anthony enjoyed fishing, making homemade bows and was involved in Hunting for Heroes. Survivors include his parents, Tom (Susan) Hagene Jr. of Pinckneyville, IL and Diane (Bob) Langwith of Cutler, IL; two sons, Edward and James Hagene of Pinckneyville, IL; his girlfriend, Amy Reid of DuQuoin, IL; one brother, Timothy Hagene of Steeleville, IL; one sister, Lindsey Hagene of Sesser, IL; grandfather, Tom (Edie) Hagene of Pinckneyville, IL; grandmother, Helen Braun of Steeleville, IL; two step-grandmothers, Alice Shaw of Cutler, IL and Sherline Clapp of DuQuoin, IL; one uncle, Jeremiah (Kelly) Davis of Steeleville, IL; three aunts, Rebecca Brockmeyer of Steeleville, IL, Julie Duvall of Steeleville, IL, Julie Hagene of Pinckneyville, IL; and one niece, Haylee Hagene of Steeleville, IL. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Lou Deaton; grandfather, George Braun; and step-grandfather, Dean Clapp. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor James Clardy officiating. Military rites will be performed by American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the family.
