Annalee Place's Obituary
Annalee Place, age 90, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital on Friday, March 31, 2006 at 7:20 a.m. Annalee was born on April 5, 1915 in Louisville, IL, the daughter of William Grant and Harriett (Rinehart) Erwin. She married Lewis I. Place in 1931 in Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1969. She worked for many years at the Blue Bell Packing Plant before retiring. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, and the Royal Neighbors and enjoyed cooking and her family. Survivors include her daughter-in-law: Shirley Place Welch and husband Ben, a grandson: Kevin Place and wife Roxanne, and a granddaughter: Cheryl Bigham and husband Greg, all of Pinckneyville, IL, 7 grandchildren: Eve' Cooper and husband Shawn of Chicago, IL, Ethan, and Holly Place, and Macy, Holly, Taylor, and Grant Bigham, all of Pinckneyville, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son: Bob Place, four brothers: Otis, Hobert, Ballard, and David Erwin, and seven sisters: Irma Fear, Alta Smith, LaTisha Broha, Thursa McCraw, Mahala Headlee, Amy Decker, and Electa Mary Smith. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, April 3, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Rick Hatley officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in DuQuoin, IL. Visitation will be held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and on Monday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. till 9:00 a.m. then at the First Baptist Church from 9:30 until the time of services.
