Anna Mae Schram's Obituary
Anna Mae Schram, age 93, of DuQuoin, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2007 at 6:50 p.m. at her daughter's home. Anna Mae was born on July 25, 1913 in DuQuoin, a daughter to Elza and Blanche (Senior) House. On October 22, 1944 she married Frederick Kenneth Schram in DuQuoin and he preceded her in death on February 2, 1983. She was a member of Old DuQuoin Baptist Church, Senior Citizens, and Gold Plate. She was a hard worker who enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, quilting, crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include one daughter: Brenda Kay Teel of DuQuoin, seven grandchildren: Freddie Ray Gant of DuQuoin, Kevin Matthew Gant of DuQuoin, Dana Lynnette Rice of Champaign, Douglas Alan Teel of Alton, Julie Suzanne Harris of DuQuoin, Andrew Michael Teel of DuQuoin, and Marita Danielle Fisher of Tamaroa, and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter: Marsha Ann Gant, two sisters: Mary Elizabeth Clapp Simpkins and Mildred Marie Rodewald. Funeral services will be held at Old DuQuoin Baptist Church on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Ted Clark officiating. Interment will be in Old DuQuoin Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, DuQuoin on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. till 12:30 p.m., then at the church from 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Old DuQuoin Baptist Church.
