Alvin McBride, Jr.'s Obituary
Alvin McBride, Jr., age 91, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 6:28 p.m. in Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, IL. Alvin was born on May 22, 1918 in Freeburg, IL, a son to Alvin and Margaret (Koester) McBride, Sr. On April 5, 1940, he married Dorothy Wilson and she survives. Alvin graduated from Freeburg High School, worked in a C.C.C. Camp after high school, worked at a munitions plant in St. Louis, MO during W.W. II worked for Caps Auto Parts in Belleville and later for Sparta Auto Parts in Sparta until his retirement. Alvin is survived by his wife, one daughter: Bonnie Overbeck of Jackson, MO and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Marie. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Jim Matthews officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Coulterville, IL on Sunday, July 12, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Cape County Cowboy Church, 220 Orchid Lane, Oak Ridge, MO 63769
