Alma L. Hearn's Obituary
Alma L. Hearn, age 93, of Pinckneyville, IL, died on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 4:22 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital Skilled Care Unit. Alma was born on February 16, 1913 in Pinckneyville, a daughter to Edward H. and Matilda (Lindner) Kellerman. She married Harry H. Hearn on December 28, 1933 in Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1980. She worked for many years as an instructor at the former Pinckneyville Garment Factory. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Pinckneyville V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling especially to Branson, MO and Florida. Survivors include two daughters: Nancy Blades of Pinckneyville, and Betty and Joe Yates of Pinckneyville, four grandchildren: Rhonda and Kevin Hicks of Pinckneyville, Dean Blades of DuQuoin, Timothy Yates of Pinckneyville, and Bill R. and Emily Yates of Marshall, IL, five great-grandchildren: Haven Hicks, Hayden Hicks, Brenden Blades, Chloe Yates, and Caden Yates, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson: Bobby Joe Yates, one sister: Mildred Eichholz, one half-sister: Ernie Reichert, and one son-in-law: Bob Blades. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Rick Hatley and Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. and then at the First Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorial donations may be made to Pinckneyville Community Hospital Skilled Care Unit or Pinckneyville Community High School Athletic Department.
