Albert Bonta 'Bonnie' Corden Albert Bonta 'Bonnie' Corden, age 85, of DuQuoin, IL passed away Saturday morning, April 1, 2006 at 9:47 a.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, IL. Bonnie was born in DuQuoin, IL, on December 24, 1920, the son of Albert and Carrie (Bonta) Corden. He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant during WWII and was a prisoner of war for six months. After returning from the war, he worked as a self employed hay bailer in the DuQuoin area. Bonnie was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ and loved playing in country western bands for most of his life. He also loved his nieces and nephews like his own children. Survivors include a sister; Gloria Morrow of DuQuoin, IL, 2 nephews; Oren Morrow and Nashville, TN, and Bud Morrow of Plainwell, MI., a niece, Julie Fecke of Bonfield, IL, 8 great nieces and nephews, and 10 great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a half sister, Elizabeth Upton Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on April 5, 2006 at the Friendship Church of Christ in Tamaroa, IL with Brother Darrell McCombs officiating. Visitation will be held at the Pyatt-Harrawood & Epplin Funeral Home in DuQuoin, IL on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. then at the church from 11:00 a.m. till services.
