Judith Ann

Judith Ann “Judy” Huff, age 76, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 3:19 p.m. in Gateway Regional Hospital, Granite City, IL.

Judy was born on August 29, 1937 in Tulsa, OK, a daughter of Robert and Josephine (Baker) Trapp. On June 9, 1956, she married Robert J. “Bob” Huff in St Mary’s Catholic Church, Centralia, IL and he survives. Judy was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL and enjoyed quilting with the St. Bruno quilters. She was a homemaker and sold real estate for Place Real Estate for many years. Judy was very active in her community including serving 41 years on the Pinckneyville Public Library board and was a member of the Pinckneyville Chamber of Commerce. She was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed reading, puzzles, traveling and refurbishing antique trunks. Judy was an avid gardener and especially loved tending her flowers. She was a faithful attendee of the Pinckneyville Fitness Center and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” Huff of Pinckneyville, IL; a son Michael (Stacy) Huff of Alexandria, VA; a daughter, Angela (Al) Lickhart of Sheldon, IA; four grandchildren, Aaron (Jody) Lickhart of Ames, IA, Audrey (Andrew) Gagie of Alexandria, VA; and Sydney and Taylor Huff of Alexandria, VA; one great-granddaughter, Ava Lickhart of Ames, IA; and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Augustine Ibezimako officiating.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Pyatt Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Bruno Catholic School or Pinckneyville Public Library.
